Will [rose variety] be available as own root or grafted this season?Updated a month ago

Our website reflects the full 2025 Collection, where we list both rootstock options (even if one isn’t available this year) for transparency.

This product page showcases rootstock options "Own Root" and "Grafted" with "Own" crossed out, indicating that this particular variety is offered only as a grafted rose.

Inventory may be updated throughout the season, so it's always possible that additional rootstock types could become available later. We recommend using the “Notify Me When Available” feature on the product page. You can sign up for email or text notifications, so you’ll be the first to know if your preferred rootstock becomes available.

Not all roses in our collection are offered as both own root and grafted rootstocks. This is because some varieties perform better on one rootstock than the other. For example:

  • Certain roses thrive on their own roots.
  • Others need the added support of a grafted rootstock.
  • Some varieties do well on both.

At Menagerie Farm & Flower, we’ve carefully selected the best rootstock option for each variety to ensure your roses thrive!

To find roses in your preferred rootstock type, use the "Roses by Rootstock" filter on our Bare Root Roses collection page. This is the best way to quickly see which roses are offered in each rootstock type for the current season's collection.

Use the "Roses by Rootstock" filter to search for grafted or own root rootstock.
