Bare Root Rose Return PolicyUpdated 2 days ago

We are committed to providing you with healthy, high-quality roses and we take great care to ensure your bare root roses arrive in excellent condition. Each rose is thoroughly inspected before shipment, carefully packaged, and comes with detailed planting and storage instructions to set you up for success. However, these are live, perishable plants, so proper care and attention after delivery is essential.

What is covered?

The 72-Hour Return/Exchange Policy

  • If your rose order arrives with damaged, missing, or incorrect items—or if you simply don’t want it anymore (perhaps it’s smaller, larger, or thornier than expected, or you’ve changed your mind)—you can submit a return or exchange within 72 hours of delivery. Please note that due to the perishable nature of live plants, this timeframe is strictly enforced.

  • Submit your return/exchange request through our Returns Portal within 72 hours of receipt of your order and select from menu of available options for return/replacement or credit.

  • For a missing rose, you will be given the option for a credit or replacement (if the rose variety has available inventory).

  • For a damaged, wrong or just didn't like/no longer want rose, the rose you received must be returned in the same “new with tags” condition you received it - moist and tied in a bag in order for us to process your exchange, replacement or credit.

  • If you trim, cut, remove or manipulate the plant (including canes or roots) in any way and/or plant the rose before returning it to us, our 72-hour return policy will be void. Please do not plant the rose if you believe there is an issue.

  • To ensure plant viability & health, a bare root rose return must be received back to us within 10 days of submitting your return request.

  • Once the rose is received at our warehouse, we will process your return/exchange request.

  • All returns/exchanges are subject to inspection and we reserve the right to refuse your credit or exchange if your return does not meet these requirements. If your return is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your expense.

The 30-Day Warranty Guarantee

  • After planting, if your rose fails to leaf out within 30 days of delivery, please submit a Warranty Claim within that 30-day window. Warranty claims submitted after 30 days will not be accepted. If you're uncertain whether your rose has emerged from dormancy or will thrive, we recommend submitting a warranty claim during this period as a precaution.

  • To submit a warranty claim, use our Returns Portal and include clear photos of your rose planted in the ground with the plant tag visible.

  • Once your warranty claim is approved, we’ll issue a store credit for the purchase price of the rose. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Our 30 day warranty is void if the plants are taken or planted outside of the USA.

After 30 Days - Mislabeled Roses

  • We do our very best to make sure that our roses are true to name. That being said, because bare root roses are tagged dormant, a mislabel occasionally occurs.

  • After the first bloom appears, if you believe your rose variety was mislabeled, please contact us and include clear photos of the rose, its tag, and its growth habit and blooms.

  • If our nursery team verifies it was mislabeled, we will provide a credit for the purchase price of the rose.

  • We do not provide replacements for mislabeled roses.

What is not covered?

Warranty Claims Past the 30-Day Window

  • Warranty claims submitted after 30 days will not be accepted. If you're unsure whether your rose has broken dormancy or will survive, we recommend submitting a return request during the 30 day period to be safe.

Final Sale Roses

  • Clearance, final-sale bare root roses (with prices ending in $.X7) cannot be returned or exchanged. Final Sale Roses are not covered under our 30-Day Rose Warranty Guarantee. Learn more about our Final Sale Policy here.

Natural Plant Variations

  • Changes in bloom color, size, and scent during the growing season are normal and reflect the unique characteristics of each rose.
  • Bare root roses are young plants, typically 1.5 to 2.5 years old, and may produce smaller blooms and shorter stems in their first year as they establish.
  • Seasonal weather in your location plays a role too—heat can result in smaller blooms and color variations, while cooler temperatures can bring larger blooms with higher petal counts and subtle color shifts, especially in white/cream varieties that may turn pink or peach in cooler weather.
  • These natural variations are not considered defects and are not covered by our return & warranty policies.

We reserve the right to reject any returns/exchanges or credit requests that do not comply with any of the conditions stated above.
